After a full review and consideration, Bethany College has decided to temporarily close the Mountainside Conference Center, Gresham Inn and Harder Hall on January 1, 2018.

Reservations for conferences, receptions, and individual rooms for dates prior to January 1, 2018, will be honored. However, in order for staff, conference planners, and hotel guests to properly plan for upcoming events, we are issuing this guidance now.

Unfortunately, in its present condition the complex has become a severe financial burden to the College which cannot be sustained.  In order to stem these serious losses and begin the renewal process, the decision was taken to close the facility.

The College is actively exploring a number of ownership models and uses for the facilities, and during the period of its temporary closure, will seek investors to repair, rejuvenate and eventually re-open the properties.

As with any revitalization initiative, this work requires significant financial resources.  Bethany must raise funds to renovate the property, and encourages investors and alumni to support this effort as we move forward.  And, as with any donation to the College, support for this project can be directly contributed to Bethany and is tax deductible.

The College will keep its alumni community informed of developments as we search for options to return the Mountainside, Gresham Inn and Harder Hall to operational and fiscal health.
