BETHANY COLLEGE SENIOR FELLOWS ANNOUNCED


BETHANY, W.Va. - Ten Ohio Valley students are among the 21 Bethany College students to be appointed Senior Fellows for the 2005-2006 academic year. Some Fellows serve a semester, some for the full year.

Students named, by Department, include:

Biology - Amy Furda, Wellsburg.

Chemistry - Doug Winwood, Weirton.

Communication - Matt Heim, Weirton, and Megan Winnett, Amity, Pa.

Economics and Accounting - Hillary Norman, Economics, New Cumberland; Kenneth Hopper, Economics, Charleston; and Deidra Hall, Accounting, Wellsburg.

English - Emma Archer, New Martinsville, and Paula Maxwell, McMechen.

Foreign Languages - Susan Baughman, Cincinnati, Ohio, and Emma Archer.

Mathematics and Computer Science - Raymond Dick, Medina, Ohio, and Todd West, Monongahela, Pa.

History and Political Science - Lauren Davidson, Toronto, and Jon-Erik Gilot, Dillonvale.

Psychology - Rachael Bell, Mt. Pleasant, Pa., and Stephanie Happe, McMurray, Pa.

Religious Studies and Philosophy - Annalese Duprey, Sewickley, Pa., and Alena McAllister, Follansbee.

Teaching and Social Services - Holly Martinko, Greensburg, Pa., and Lynn Fatigati, Wheeling.

Selection of Senior Fellows is made from students who have demonstrated unusual excellence in a major and character and ability to do the work in the department. The College's Honors Committee makes the selections, usually from nominations presented by the department.
