BETHANY, W.Va. – Bethany College's International Student Association (ISA) recently joined with Brooke County Girl Scout troops for the Girl Scout's annual "Thinking Day." The event was held at Bethany Memorial Church.
"Thinking Day" is an opportunity for the Girl Scouts of America to engage in projects and activities which increase their awareness of global issues in their councils, schools and communities.
This year, the girls met with members of Bethany's International Student Association and two Bethany faculty members. Some of the countries represented were Australia, Bangladesh, Brazil, Germany, India and Japan.
Debbie Reed, a Brooke County trooper leader, was very pleased with the "Thinking Day" event, and Becky Szabo, a Service Unit Administrator, said, "It was wonderful."
