BETHANY, W.Va. – Brian Cook, a Bethany College senior, has received a scholarship from BB&T Bank. Cook, a Communication major, is from Wheeling, W.Va.
BB&T Bank recently contributed $10,000 to the Circle of Vision Scholarship Program, administered by West Virginia Independent Colleges and Universities (WVICU). Bethany College is a member of the nine member consortium of private colleges and universities that make up WVICU.
Circle of Vision scholarships are earmarked for West Virginia student-residents who demonstrate academic promise and financial need. Recipients must maintain a satisfactory grade-point average throughout the period of scholarship.
Since 1997, the Circle of Vision Scholarship Program has provided more than $2.1 million in scholarship funds to 1,770 West Virginia college students.
