BETHANY, W.Va. - Fourteen students have been awarded Bethany Kalon Scholarships.

Those receiving Kalon Leaders Scholarships are:

Chase Butler, Weirton.

Casey Gray, Wheeling.

Adam Henning, Morgantown, W.Va.

Ashley Iwaniec, Ligonier, Pa.

Rachael Katsur, Pittsburgh, Pa.

Katherine Piacquadio, Warren, Ohio.

Danielle Przelenski, Wheeling.

John Wallace, Greenfield, Ind.

Each Kalon Leaders Scholarship amounts to $10,000, $2,500 each year renewable up to four years.

Five students are Kalon Commended Winners, which is an annual $1,000 award.
Those students are:

Amanda Howercroft, Mars, Pa.

Kaitlyn McCormick, Wheeling.

Denis Joey Palcic, Weirton.

Erica Pietranton, New Cumberland.

Tyler Scherer, Morgantown, W.Va.

Kalon award selection is based on past leadership achievements, school record, required essay and an interview. Recipients have demonstrated exceptional qualities of character and leadership, have achieved a record of distinction in service to their school and community and have maintained a commendable academic average.

Award maintenance is dependent upon student involvement in the College community, a good citizenship record and a minimum cumulative 2.5 grade-point average.
