BETHANY, W.Va. - Bethany College was officially voted as the newest member of the InterAmerican Consortium at the January meeting of the organization's Board of Directors on Saturday. Dr. Scott D. Miller, new President of Bethany College, is the chair of the Board of the Consortium.

The InterAmerican Consortium is a partnership of six American Colleges--Bethany, Wesley (De.) College, Lake Erie (Ohio) College, Elmira (N.Y.) College, Neuman (Pa.) College and Tri-State (Ind.)University and 11 international institutions.

Dr. Marylouise Fennell, former president of Carlow (Pa.) University and senior counsel at Washington, D.C.-based Council of Independent Colleges, is the Executive Director of the Consortium.

Dr. Miller and Dr. Fennell were co-founders of the organization in 1996. InterAmerican Consortium facilitates student, faculty and staff exchanges and special term courses throughout the world.
