WHEELING, W.Va. — The Upper Ohio Valley Career Service Consortium will hold its annual job fair from 1-4 p.m. Thursday, April 10 at the White Palace in Wheeling Park. Now in its 17th year of existence, the fair is expected to attract more than 30 employers.

Intended for the students and alumni of the 10 consortium member schools and employers wanting to recruit these candidates, the job fair is designed to bring employers together with ready-to-work new graduates.

The 10 members of the consortium are Belmont Technical College, Bethany College, Franciscan University of Steubenville, Marietta College, Muskingum College, Ohio University Eastern, Waynesburg University, West Liberty State College, Wheeling Jesuit University and West Virginia Northern Community College.

Students and alumni of neighboring colleges are also welcome to attend for a $5 fee, payable at the door. Click on\uovcsc, for complete information.

Participants will receive a chance on a $300 gift certificate for career clothing merchandise that will be awarded after the event. The winner need not be present to win but must have attended the event. His or her name must appear on the sign-in sheet and he or she must have turned in a resume at the door. Jobseekers do not need to pre-register.

Only jobseekers with a resume will be admitted to the fair and jobseekers are asked not to bring guests or children. All candidates are reminded to dress professionally and bring plenty of resumes to distribute to potential employers.
