BETHANY, W.Va. — The Pittsburgh Steelers Footballers Basketball team is coming to Bethany College for a charity basketball game against a team of Bethany students on Tuesday, April 8. It’s the second straight year Bethany has hosted the Steelers’ touring basketball squad. Tipoff is set for 8 p.m. at Hummel Field House.
“This is a great opportunity for our students and Ohio Valley sports fans to come out and meet the Steelers while raising money for charity at the same time,” said Brian Fernandes, Associate Dean of Students. “I’m really proud of the Student Activities Council and Alpha Sigma Phi fraternity for having the vision to bring this notable event back to Bethany.”
The Steelers players will sign autographs for the fans at halftime. Tickets are priced at $7 with all proceeds going to Alpha Sigma Phi’s charity, Canine Companions for Independence. Bethany College students will be admitted free with their student ID card.
Advance tickets for the charity event are available by calling Fernandes at (304) 829-7905.
