Bethany Represented at Christian Church General Assembly

BETHANY, W.Va. —Three Bethany College administrators attended the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) General Assembly last week in Indianapolis, Indiana. Bethany College is the oldest four-year college of the Christian Church.

Dr. Scott D. Miller, President of the College; Sven de Jong, Vice President for Institutional Advancement; and Dr. Larry Grimes, Director of Church Relations, attended the gathering at the Indianapolis Convention Center.

In addition to attending meetings and sessions relative to college-church relatedness, Bethany hosted an alumni and friends event on Thursday at the Hyatt Hotel. Dr. Miller provided an interactive discussion of the State of the College and introduced new chaplain Rev. Scott Thayer, who will be joining the staff of the College in late August.

Bethany College is a small college of national distinction located on a picturesque and historic 1,300-acre campus in the Northern Panhandle of West Virginia. Founded in 1840, Bethany is the state’s oldest private college.
