Since 2009, he has led the Wealth Management Americas division and served as a member of the UBS Group Executive Board.

A 1980 Bethany graduate, McCann has a long history of giving back to his alma mater. In 2009, he established the McCann Family Student Investment Fund at Bethany. The fund, the first of its kind in West Virginia, allows students to serve as investment professionals responsible for a $1.5 million endowment.  McCann also serves as vice chair of Bethany’s Board of Trustees.

“Bob has created many life-impacting opportunities for Bethany students,” said Bethany College President Dr. Scott D. Miller. “We are honored to welcome him back to campus, as he is an extraordinary example of the global impact a Bethany education can foster.”

In addition to his support for Bethany, McCann serves on the board of directors of the American Ireland Fund, a leader in integrated education, and is a member of the board of trustees of the Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of New York.

After receiving his undergraduate degree in economics from Bethany, McCann went on to earn his M.B.A. from the Neeley School of Business of Texas Christian University. He received an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters from Bethany in 2010.
