BETHANY, W.Va. – Bethany College welcomed three full-time faculty members for the 2021-2022 academic year.

The additions are Hayden Cook, Dr. Theodore N. Pauls, and Tammy S. Richmond.

Cook joins Bethany as a visiting assistant professor in education. He previously taught at Ohio County Schools, Brooke County Schools, Central Catholic High School, and Fox Run. He also is executive director of the Grand View Corp., a Wheeling nonprofit that serves at-risk youth. Cook has a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and a Master of Arts in Multicategorical Special Education.

Pauls returns to Bethany as a visiting associate professor of business from Wheeling University, where he was chair of the Department of Business and associate professor of marketing. He is a former associate professor of communication at Bethany and has taught at West Virginia Wesleyan and then-West Liberty State College.

Richmond is a visiting assistant professor of accounting. A certified public accountant, Richmond has served as an adjunct for Bethany and Wheeling University and was assistant vice president of the former Fed One Bank in Wheeling. She has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a specialization in accounting from West Liberty University, and an M.B.A and a Master of Science in Accountancy from Wheeling University.

The fall semester began Aug. 23.
