Housed in Morlan Hall, the Social Work Program has been accredited by the Council on Social Work Education since 1984.The average size graduating class in social work is between 8 and12, which means that you will get individual attention and many opportunities to interact with faculty, peers, and social work professionals from the tri-state area of West Virginia, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. The program is experienced-based, with a large network of field agencies an experienced and enthusiastic field instruction staff. You will graduate with a minimum of 630 hours of placement experience in a minimum of four field settings.
Because the program is accredited, you will be eligible to enter with Advanced Standing in accredited Master’s of Social Work (MSW) programs. For more information, please click on the link for Graduate Education found on the home page.
The Social Work Program also works closely with graduates of community colleges in the tri-state area to expedite their transfer to the major.
