J. Matthew White has been performing in the Ohio Valley for over 20 years. In 2012 alone, he has performed over 60 times.
As a music educator, he has worked with musicians in public schools, parochial schools and private institutions. White holds years of experience teaching students in kindergarten through college and beyond. Some of his students have gone on to have careers in music but all have gained a measure of appreciation for the subject.

White earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in music education from West Liberty University. While at West Liberty, he participated in every instrumental ensemble and performed marimba solo at the honors recital, which is reserved for the five best music students on campus. He continues to study the art of percussion and enjoys sharing musical ideas with the musicians of the Ohio Valley. While his drum set playing is a priority, White also enjoys playing steel drum, marimba, kalimba, and hand drums.

He currently resides in Weirton with his wife and son.
