The Bethany Fund

Honor the vital role your Bethany education played in shaping your life, and those of your classmates, by clicking here to give a gift. Thank you.

We have accomplished much in the last year, and I am particularly pleased to share a few important recent developments.

  • Most notably, our Board of Trustees and special donors have fulfilled a commitment of a $2 million matching challenge through the leadership of alumnus Bob McCann ('80).
  • Moreover, the Board of Trustees continued to add talented leadership, welcoming Marsha (Peters) Smith '73, Logan Hassig '70, and Marie (Zuberbuehler) DeParis '83 to the Board at the October 6 meeting.
  • Through shared leadership, we are in the process of completing a five-year strategic plan for all departments of the College. You will hear more about that in future communications.
  • We have completed several important short-term initiatives. For example, we repaved the campus, replaced the brick walkway in front of Old Main, developed an Office of Career and Professional Development, and introduced "The Hub" in Morlan Hall where "We Proudly Serve" Starbucks®.

We continue to build Bethany as we always have, through our greatest assets—our faculty, staff and students. Our faculty are deeply involved in developing the strategic vision of the college. Staff are addressing procedures and policies, strengthening the student life experience, and providing daily student support services. Students themselves are raising the bar with regard to "Bison Pride."
Every Friday, you will see students wearing green & white!

To say that I am grateful for all of the people who make up and support the broad community of Bethany College is an understatement. We are moving forward with vision, strategy and purpose. It is not possible to name every donor or group that makes a difference.

I simply want to convey my profound thanks for each and every one of you who care about the present and future of Ole Bethany!

Dr. Tamara Nichols Rodenberg
President
