W. W. Eaton Award

Support current and future Bethany English majors by donating to the new W. W. Eaton Award! Founded by alumni to improve the lives of our students, the annual award is named in honor of W.W. Eaton, who was appointed the first Professor of English Literature at Bethany in 1841.

By donating to this award, you are also advocating for the value of the study of English in a liberal arts education in a very practical way, at a time when that affirmation will be particularly significant.

How will your donations to the W.W. Eaton Award help our students? You can join with other donors to help Eaton award-winning Bethany English majors buy books, carry out senior project research, study abroad, attend conferences, apply for graduate programs, or buy precious time away from their jobs to read and write.

100% of your donation will go directly to students majoring in English at Bethany. The award is administered solely by Bethany's English alumni and faculty, and all donors will receive an annual update on the year’s award recipients.

You can donate annually or monthly.
