June 16 – GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Bethany College athletics department has seen 32 student-athletes recently named to the Presidents’ Athletic Conference Academic Honor Roll for the spring 2015 semester, announced the PAC on Tuesday afternoon.
In total, 480 student-athletes from all ten conference schools were named to the honor roll, which recognizes those on winter and spring athletic teams who earn a grade point average of 3.6 or higher on a 4.0 scale during the semester of their competition.
The Bison saw 62 (30 fall, 32 spring) student-athletes earn the distinction during the 2014-15 academic year, helping the conference reach a new all-time high of 936. The total number is 33 more than the conference established during the 2013-14 season.
The women’s basketball team led the charge for the Green & White during the spring semester, seeing 11 of their 18 athletes named to the list. The track & field teams were second for the Bison, boasting eight student-athletes on the honor roll. The Bison baseball team posted four athletes on the list, while the men’s golf team as well as the swimming & diving and softball programs tallied three, each.
Of the 32 Bison who were named to the PAC Honor Roll, 17 of them boasted at least a 3.8, while 10 individuals tallied a perfect, 4.0 GPA.
