Sept. 21 - BETHANY, W. Va. – Bethany College and Athletic Director Brian Rose have recently named Andrew Woodley the college’s new Sports Information Director.
Woodley comes to Bethany after serving as the SID at Salem International since February of 2015. While at Salem, he was the sole media contact for all 17 varsity sports while also serving as game day manager for all home sporting events.
“Andrew brings an extensive background to Bethany after working with quality programs and strong sports information directors,” said Rose. “As the lone contact at Salem, he covered a wide array of athletic programs that gave him great experience which will allow him to slide easily into the role here covering 22 sports. He also brings a vast amount of experience developing social media platforms and we’re looking forward to seeing what he can do with our new athletic site that will be launched soon. We are pleased to have Andrew coming on board as our new Sports Information Director and anxious to see where he can take the office in the future.”
Previously, Woodley was the graduate assistant in the sports information office at California University (Pa.) from July 2013 to December of 2014. Prior to 2013, Woodley spent two years at Otterbein University as the Assistant Sports Information Director, serving as the media contact for football, men’s basketball, softball, and tennis.
As an undergraduate at California University (Pa.), Woodley served as a Media Relations Intern for the Pittsburgh Penguins where he served multiple facets of the department.
