Bruster helped push the Bethany men’s basketball team’s record to .500 last week as the Green & White posted an 81-73 victory over Muskingum University on Tuesday. The win also pushed the Bison’s record to 2-1 at home in the early stages of the season.

In the win over the Muskies, Bruster tallied a season-high 20 points, becoming the first Bison this season to break the 20-point plateau. The senior was efficient from the field, hitting 8-of-13 shots in the game, including 3-of-7 from long distance. He also added three rebounds, three steals, a trio of assists and two blocks.

So far on the year, Bruster ranks second on the team in both points per game (11.3) and rebounds per contest (5.8). His .588 shooting percentage also ranks second on the roster behind Antonio Rudolph. Among conference leaders, Bruster ranks third in the PAC in field goal percentage, while sitting in the top 20 in points per game and rebounds per night.

In a close loss to Kenyon College on Tuesday evening, Tipton was the driving force for the Bethany offense, scoring a team-high and season-best 19 points in a 70-64 decision. Tipton shot .600 in the game, connecting on 6-of-10 from the field, including 4-of-6 from deep, as well as 3-of-4 from the foul line. She also added a team-high seven rebounds and a pair of assists.

Tipton has been a solid all-around presence for the Green & White through the first four games of the season, averaging 9.5 points, 3.8 rebounds and two assists per night. She is also totaling over a steal per game. The senior has also been an efficient scorer, connecting on 44.4 percent of her field goal attempts (.455 from beyond the three-point line), as well as shooting 75 percent from the charity stripe.
