Sept. 30 – BETHANY, W. Va. – The Bethany College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee has announced that women’s soccer freshman forward Michaela Hinerman (Weirton, W.Va./Brooke) and junior linebacker Larry Kpadehyea (Monrovia, Md./Gaithersburg), have been named the Bison SAAC Athletes of the Week.
Hinerman had a nice week for the Bethany College women's soccer squad. In Bethany's 3-2 win over Penn State - Altoona, Hinerman logged her second-career hat trick. Over the week, the forward finished with three goals in 146 minutes of action. On the year, she ranks second in the Presidents’ Athletic Conference in goals (9) and fourth in points (19).
Kpadehyea was the hero in Bethany's 33-27 win over Waynesburg University. On the last play of the game, Kpadehyea stepped in front of a Carter Hill pass in the end zone to preserve the win for the Green & White. It was Kpadehyea's third caused turnover of the season.
