Dianne (Hess) Dish
Class of 1987
Dianne (Hess) Dish came to the Bison after serving as a four-year starter at Bethlehem-Center High School near Washington, Pennsylvania, where she was a 1,000 point scorer and served as the team's co-captain as a junior and senior.
Once she arrived at Bethany, Dish was a two-time First Team All-PAC selection for the Bison, as well as a four-time team-MVP, serving as her team's captain four the final three years of her career. She was also a part of a new era of Bethany women’s basketball, participating in the inaugural season of PAC women’s basketball in 1984-85.
Playing in every game during her four year career, Dish also broke the all-time scoring record at Bethany in 1986, going on to amass 1,461 points for her career, a mark which still ranks fourth in program history.
Dish was also involved on campus, as she was a member of Phi Mu sorority, the Athletic Council, and the Social Work Club.
A 1987 graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Dish most presently worked at the Sewickley Valley Hospital as an inpatient psychiatric social worker. She currently resides in Moon Township, Pennsylvania, with her husband, Steven. They have two children, Jacob and Jennie.
