J. Cady Montgomery Rowe
Volleyball, Softball
Class of 1983

Montgomery Rowe, or “Bit,” as she was called during her college days, graduated from Bethany in 1983 and was a standout with the Bison volleyball and softball teams. She was the volleyball team co-captain and MVP in 1981 and 82 and was Second-Team All-Conference in 1980. She helped lead the Bison to three consecutive conference championships in volleyball from 1979-81. In 1981, the team was the Division III West Virginia State Champion. In softball, she was First Team All-Conference in 1979 and 1981 and the 1981 team won the conference crown.

Montgomery Rowe currently lives in Punta Gorda, Florida, with her husband Harry D. Rowe. She has worked for Federal Express for the past several years. She also continued her athletic career by serving as an assistant coach with the Central Connecticut State University volleyball team for two years and another two seasons as head volleyball and softball coach at Hartford Women’s College.
