Jack Kostur

Jack Kostur, a 1970 Bethany graduate, was a four-year letterwinner on the Bethany College basketball and baseball teams.

Kostur was a member of two Conference championship roundball squads, was named the basketball captain as a senior, and received All-Presidents' Athletic Conference honors as a junior and senior in both baseball and basketball.

Kostur played in 72 consecutive basketball games and was the team's and Conference's leading scorer as a junior, averaging over 20 points per game. He finished his college career as the third highest scorer in Bethany basketball history with 1,141 points.

A member of the Beta Theta Pi fraternity and the Varsity B Club, Kostur received a Bachelor of Science degree in physical education.

Kostur went on to coach both basketball and baseball at Weir High School in Weirton, W.Va. He and his wife, Virginia, are the parents of two children, Ryan and Lindsay.
