James A. (Jim) Brunson
Class of 1972

A three-time PAC champion and member of three-straight PAC championship teams (1969-71), Jim Brunson earned All-America honors in the 400 free in 1969. That same season, he won the event at the PAC Championship. At the time of his graduation, Brunson held two PAC Records (400 medley and 400 freestyle relays) and two school records (400 and 800 freestyle relays). His 400 freestyle relay record still stands today. 

On campus, Brunson was a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity.

Upon graduation, Brunson became a member of the U.S. Marie Corp. Most recently, he entered the sales industry, specializing in supply and equipment distribution.

Brunson currently resides in Williamsburg, Virginia, with his wife, Laura. They have five children, Victoria, Christopher, Nicholas, Kane, and Michelle.
