Kenneth (Ken) Gongola
Class of 1983
Gongola played football for two years at Bethany and was a four-year letterman on the baseball team. On the diamond, he earned All-PAC honors all four years, including First Team accolades as a senior in 1982, which was the same year he was captain and team MVP.
Off the field, Gongola was involved with the Society for Collegiate Journalists, was a sports writer for Bethany’s student paper, The Tower, and worked as an assistant in the Sports Information Office.
Gongola graduated from Bethany in 1983 with a Bachelor's of Arts degree in Communications and went to work for Frito-Lay for the next 17 years. He earned District Manager of the Year in 1992, but later moved to on the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette for two years as the Retail, Vending and Special Events Sales Manager. Gongola returned to Frito-Lay in 2002 and currently serves as the Senior Key Account Manager for Giant Eagle.
A graduate of Wheeling Park High School, Gongola currently resides in Cranberry Twp., Pa., with his wife Janet. They have two children, Vincent and Chatham.
