Class of 1977
Kirk Collins was a four-year soccer and three-year baseball letterman at Bethany. A two-sport, All-Presidents' Athletic Conference honoree, he captained both teams as a senior.
On the soccer field, Collins was the first player in Bethany soccer history to start every game during his four-year career.
On the baseball diamond, Collins hurled a no-hitter in his senior season finale.
While at Bethany, Collins was a member of Bethany's Kalon Leadership Society and Gamma Sigma Kappa, a scholastic honorary, also serving as the president of the Kappa Alpha Order fraternity. The Senior Fellow in Mathematics, he passed his Senior Comprehensive examinations with Distinction and graduated Summa Cum Laude.
Collins went on to become a Senior Systems Programmer at GTE Data Services and coach youth baseball and soccer. He and his wife, Janet, are the parents of one son, Kevin, and reside in Tampa Palms, Fla.
