Larry Weiss
Class of 1970

Weiss was a 1970 graduate and a standout in swimming for the Bison. He set Bethany, Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) and national records in freestyle relay, breast stroke and medley relay, as well as participated in the 1968 NAIA national championships. He was a first team NAIA All-American in 1966-67 and a four-time member of PAC swim teams.

At Bethany, he was afilliated with Sigma Nu fraternity. Weiss continued to make a splash after his career for the Green & White as he made attempts in 1983 and 1984 to swim the English Channel, coming within two miles of the French coast. Weiss is currently the owner of Van-Weiss Inc.
