Michele (Berwinkle) Nogales
Field Hockey, Softball
Class of 1985

Michelle Berwinkle Nogales played field hockey and softball for the Bison in the 1980’s, when the women’s teams competed in the Pennwood West Conference. She was one of the most decorated field hockey players in school history, earning First Team All-Conference awards each of her four years, while also leading BC to three league crowns.

In softball, she was also a three-time First Team Pennwood West selection and led the 1984 and 1985 teams to league championships, including an undefeated conference slate in 1984.

Berwinkle Nogales graduated from Bethany in 1985 with a bachelor’s degree in economics. Today, she owns a catering company with her husband in Alexandria, Va. Among the awards she has earned includes the Who’s Who of Professionals in 1999 and the Distinguished Operations Award in 2000.

Berwinkle Nogales, who graduated from Kennett High School in Conway, N.H., currently resides in Stafford, Va., with her husband, Javier, and their daughter, Danielle.
