BETHANY, W.Va (BethanyBison.com) – Director of Student Athlete Success Meighan Julbert has been named as an Assistant Athletic Director for Student Athlete Success earlier this month.

Meighan Julbert“I am both honored and humbled to be trusted with continuing to serve our scholar-athletes, coaches, and athletic department in an elevated way,” expressed Julbert. “For me, the most exciting part is that this position is centered around what we can do to connect with students and help empower them to find success in their performance, on whatever platform that may be.”

Julbert was hired as part of the Division III Ethnic Minorities and Women’s Internship Grant that Bethany College was awarded in the summer of 2019.

During her tenure as the Director of Student Athlete Success, Julbert has been a key member in developing Bison360 Leadership Program, a program that gives students the opportunity to further their success as scholar-athletes on campus.

At its core, Bison360 is a deliberate approach to creating a community that develops total scholar-athletes by working as a team to deliver everything Bethany College has to offer. Our athletic programs take an innovative, holistic approach by providing services and support in four main areas: Mind, Body, Learn, and Lead. Bethany’s commitment to our scholar-athletes begins with our mission to prepare future leaders for success in academics, athletics, and life beyond graduation.

Julbert also collaborated with the McCann Learning Center staff in coordinating student athlete academic support services. She also developed and oversees an early intervention program to help student athletes build strategies for academic success.

In addition to her duties overseeing student athlete academic support, Julbert will also serve as the department’s Senior Women Administrator and the advisor for the Student Athlete Advisory Committee.
