Oct. 29 - LATROBE, Pa. - The Bethany cross country programs participated in the Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) championship on Saturday hosed by Saint Vincent College.
The Bison were highlighted by Jordan Castro (Wahiawa, Hawaii/Leilehua) for the men who finished 10th and Kathrin Lehnert (Crailsheim, Germany/Lise-Meitner Gymnasium) for the women who finished 12th.
As a team, the men placed eighth with Castro running the eight-kilometer course in 28 minutes, 25 seconds. Lucas Liriano (Frederick, Md./Walkersville), Austin Davis (Chesapeake, Va./Moanalua), and Donald Bierhals (Cabot, Pa./Knoch) placed 46th, 47th, and 48th, respectively. Liriano ran the course in 31 minutes, 28 seconds, Davis in 31 minutes, 38 seconds, and Bierhals finished in 31 minutes, 42 seconds.
Lehnert placed in the top-15 for the fifth time this season with a time of 25 minutes, 12 seconds on the six-kilometer course, while Ashley Worst (Apollo, Pa./Apollo-Ridge) finished 41st for the Bison at 27 minutes, 34 seconds as the women's team finished ninth overall.
