Oct. 16 - WILMINGTON, Ohio – The Bethany cross country teams ran in their final meet prior to the PAC Championships when they raced at the Wilmington Fall Classic Friday evening.

Neither the men nor women had enough for a full team, so they only competed as individuals. That did not prevent the Bison runners from turning in good performances, especially on the women’s side where the women ran their first 5K of the season after three 6K races to start the season.

Headlining the team’s efforts was freshman Erin Reske (Fishers, Ind./Hamilton Southeastern), who finished as the top BC runner for the fourth straight meet. She finished 44th overall out of 244 runners with a time of 20:34.52. Just on her heels was senior Maggie McCort (Fort Ashby, W.Va./Frankfort), who came in just two spots behind Reske with a time of 20:39.51.

The other two Bethany runners were freshman Emily Andrews (Absecon, N.J./Holy Spirit), who crossed in 122nd place, and senior Alissa Moss (Meadow Lands, Pa./Chartiers-Houston), who placed 152nd.

For the men, senior Patrick Miller (Canonsburg, Pa./Chartiers-Houston) finished 188th out of 265 competitors and freshman Josh Wentz (Phillipi, W.Va./Philip Barbour) was 225th.

Bethany will be off next weekend and are set to be on the trails again Oct. 31 at the PAC Championships, which will be hosted by Saint Vincent.
