Nov. 2 - GIBSONIA, Pa. – The men’s cross country team finished in eighth, while the women’s program placed ninth at the Presidents’ Athletic Conference Championships hosted by Chatham University on Saturday.
With a total of 189 points, the men’s team finished eighth out of nine teams and were paced by a 22nd-place finish by Wesley Scott (Kingwood, W. Va./Preston). Scott finished with a time of 27:34.50. Other top times for the Bison included Hunter Ankrom, (Moundsville, W. Va./John Marshall) who finished in 43rd with a time of 28:39.80, and Ryan Donnelly (Pittsburgh, Pa./Penn Hills) (44th – 28:40.20).
The women’s team ran to a ninth place finish out of 10 teams. Rhianna Petrone (Canonsburg, Pa./Canon-McMillan) took home the team’s top time with a 28th place finish (24:38.20). Brooke Bossworth, (St. Clairsville, Ohio/St. Clairsville) who finished 51st (26:18.10); and Kelesa Martz, (Hedgesville, W. Va./Hedgesville) who came in 62nd (26:51.60) rounded out the top three.
The PAC team championships went to Saint Vincent on the men’s side (30 points) and Grove City in the women’s 6k (33 points). Individual titles were obtained by Chansler Poole of Saint Vincent (25:15.60), and Emily Rabenold of Grove City (21:45.60).
