August 24 – GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Presidents’ Athletic Conference preseason cross country coaches polls were released for both the men’s side and the women’s side on Friday afternoon. The Bison women and men were both selected ninth in their respective polls.
On the women’s side, Grove City took home the honor of the preseason favorite, notching 96 points and seven of the possible 10 first place votes. Waynesburg (85 points) and Geneva (78 points) rounded out the top three.
On the men’s side, Saint Vincent came away as the top vote getter. The preseason favorite collected 80 points and eight of nine first-place votes. Rounding out the top three on the men’s side were Grove City (73 points) and Waynesburg (73).
The Bison men and women will open their respective seasons on Saturday, August 31 when they take part in the Muskingum Invitational. The teams will then return home to run on their home course at the Bethany Invitational on Saturday, September 7. The women’s race will run at 10:30 a.m. with the men following at 11:30 a.m.
