Sept. 19 - ERIE, Pa. – Bethany freshman Erin Reske (Fishers, Ind./Hamilton Southeastern) turned in her second consecutive strong outing to highlight the Bison men’s and women’s cross country teams’ day at the Penn State Behrend Invitational Saturday.

By clocking in with a time of 25:41, Reske placed 13th overall out of 110 runners and ninth among Division III runners at the meet. This comes on the heels of her 23nd place showing at the Westminster Invitational two weeks ago.

Also posting a good time was senior Maggie McCort (Fort Ashby, W.Va./Frankfort), who crossed the finish line in 28th place with a time of 26:33. Rounding out the competitors for BC Saturday was senior Alissa Moss (Meadow Lands, Pa./Chartiers-Houston), who finished 58th overall.

Due to injuries and illness, those were the only three Bethany participants in the meet, so they did not have enough to score as a team.

The Bison men also did not qualify as a scoring team, as only two runners went out, including senior Patrick Miller (Canonsburg, Pa./Chartiers-Houston) and freshman Josh Wentz (Philippi, W.Va./Philip Barbour).

Bethany is off again next week and will compete at the Oct. 3 Slippery Rock Invitational.
