Bethany Field Hockey Falters at Neumann

Oct. 12 – ASTON, Pa. – The Bethany College field hockey team fell at Neumann University, 4-0, on Sunday afternoon.

The first half saw the hosts take a 1-0 lead on a goal from Alexis Damask in the 28th minute of action.

The score would then remain the same as Bethany trialed entering intermission.

Junior goalkeeper Courtney Snyder (Bristol, Pa./Bristol) played well in the first frame, logging two saves on eight faced shots.

The second half saw the Knights add two more goals en route to defeating the Bison, 4-0.

Offensively, the Bison were led by sophomore Lauren Rao (North Tonawanda, N.Y./Sweet Home) and freshman Bailey Boardman (La Verne, Calif./Bonita). Rao had two shots on goal, while Boardman also notched two shots.

Snyder finished the game with six saves on 22 Neumann shots.

The Bison will be back in action on Wednesday, Oct. 15, as they travel to Wooster, Ohio for a battle with the College of Wooster. Game time is set for 4:30 p.m.
