Sept. 12- WASHINGTON, Pa. - The Bethany College field hockey team (0-3) fell, 5-0 at Washington and Jefferson (4-1) on Thursday evening at Cameron Stadium.
In the defeat, Bethany goalkeeper sophomore Jacqueline Harrison (Massapequa Park, N.Y./Massapequa) recorded a season-high 24 saves.
Morgan Brozena won her fourth game of the season and posted her second shutout for the President’s.
Catherine Villa opened with the game’s first goal for W&J as she netted her fourth goal of the season at the 26:48 mark of the first half.
Molly Hoekman received a pass from Amanda Steffey and scored her first goal of the season to give the President’s a 2-0 at 31:30 of the first half.
W&J would score three second half goals to take home a 5-0 victory
Bethany returns to action on Saturday, September 21 when they host Ohio Wesleyan at 7:00 p.m.
