Bethany Field Hockey Stumbles at W&J

Oct. 29 – WASHINGTON, Pa. – The Bethany College field hockey team stumbled at Washington & Jefferson on Wednesday evening, 5-0.

The Presidents were in control in the first half, taking a 2-0 lead heading into intermission.

The second half was more of the same, as W&J added three more goals to defeat Bethany, 5-0. 

Bethany’s offense was spearheaded by juniors Courtney Gill (Little Egg Harbor, N.J./Pinelands Regional) and Taylor Solomon (Beltsville, Md./Elizabeth Seton). Gill notched two shots, while Solomon added one shot.

Junior Courtney Snyder (Bristol, Pa./Bristol) recorded three saves in 70 minutes of action.

The squad will wrap up their regular season on Sunday, Nov. 2 as they travel to Oberlin for a 1 pm matchup.
