Bison Field Hockey Stumbles on Road

Sept. 24 – FROSTBURG, Md.  – The Bethany College field hockey team fell at Frostburg State, 3-0, on Wednesday afternoon.

The Bobcats took the lead early, scoring in just the sixth minute to take a 1-0 advantage.

The score would remain the same heading into intermission.

Frostburg State would control the second half, tacking on two more goals en route to a 3-0 win over the Bison.

Junior Taylor Solomon (Beltsville, Md./Elizabeth Seton) and freshman Morgan Turner (Frederick, Md./Frederick) led the Bison offense. Solomon logged two shots with one coming on goal, while Turner also notched two shots.

Sophomore goalkeeper Tiffany McCary (Hanover Township, Pa./Hanover) played all 70 minutes in net, logging six saves on 15 Bobcat shots.

The Bison will get back in action on Saturday, Oct. 4, when they play host to Notre Dame of Maryland. Game time is slated to begin at 4:30 p.m.
