Oct. 28 - WOOSTER, Ohio – Wooster scored three times in a span of 1:22 en route to scoring eight first-half goals and the Scots went on to a 9-1 victory over the Bethany College field hockey team Sunday in the Bison’s final contest of the season.
The game was scoreless through eight minutes until Wooster (11-8) posted its first goal at the 8:01 mark. The Scots would add two more scores in a little over a minute and continued to build on their lead until a score in the 34th minute made it an 8-0 advantage at halftime.
Bethany (1-14) scored its lone goal shortly after the break. Sophomore Kadie Kelly (Royal Oak, Md./Saint Michaels) provided the score with an unassisted tally just 1:51 into the period, It was her second goal of the season and put her behind freshman Taylor Solomon (Beltsville, Md./Elizabeth Seton), who had four goals this year, in the team rankings.
Wooster completed the scoring for the day with a goal at the 46:09 mark. The Scots registered a 27-6 advantage in shots and had 13 penalty corners to BC’s eight. In net for the Bison was freshman Jacqueline Harrison (Massapequa Park, N.Y./Massapequa), who finished her first year with 10 saves in the defeat.
