Oct. 12- BETHANY, W.Va.- The Bethany College field hockey team and second year head coach Stephanie Bernthal held its second fall clinic of the 2013 season on Saturday afternoon.
Today’s clinic was held for two hours at Bison Stadium after the conclusion of the Bison’s game against Neumann University.
Bethany’s players and head coach held the clinic for prospective student-athletes and prospects attended the clinic from as far away as Delaware and Missouri.
“We had some great athletes attend out clinic today. The Bethany players and I love to work with younger athletes and continue to spread both our knowledge and love for field hockey to them,” said Bernthal about the clinic.
This afternoon’s clinic focused on passing fundamentals as well as shooting. Players participated in small games that were designed so that participants could work on and showcase the skills they had learned through today’s clinic.
“We looked forward to having more clinics and overnight camps this Summer," commented Bernthal. “We hope we can continue to grow the sport in West Virginia where we are the only institution (at any level) with a field hockey program.”
