Oct. 6 – BETHANY, W. Va. – Bethany College football defensive end, junior Nadim Raddar (Laurel, Md./Old Mill), has been named the Presidents’ Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week, announced the PAC on Monday.
Raddar helped the Bison defensive unit limit Case Western Reserve to just 41 yards rushing in Saturday's 25-14 victory. He totaled 10 tackles, 3.0 tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks as well as a fumble recovery in the win. His totals helped the Bison post double-digit tackles for loss for the third time this season (12.0), while also tying their single-game high in sacks (5.0).
He currently leads all of NCAA Division III in total sacks (8.5) and is tied for the top spot in total tackles for loss (13.0). His 48 total tackles also rank first in the PAC, as he rates third in the conference in tackles per game (9.6). He also leads all defensive linemen by seven total tackles in the PAC.
This marks the second PAC Defensive Player of the Week award for the Bison as Raddar joins teammate Donavan Hayden (Hyttsville, Md./Northwestern), who earned the award two weeks ago for his performance against Westminster. It also marks the third time in five weeks that a Bison has earned a PAC Player of the Week award, as punter Stephen Amic (McDonald, Pa./West Allegheny) earned Special Teams Player of the Week following a week two win against Thiel.
