March 17 - WILKES-BARRE, Pa. –King’s (Pa.) College scored 10 first-half goals and held the Bethany College men’s lacrosse team scoreless in the second half to post an 11-1 victory over the Bison Saturday.

The Monarchs (2-4) tallied three goals before six minutes were gone in the first quarter and tacked on three more before the end of the period. Bethany (0-5) posted the first goal of the second quarter when freshman Christian Simon (Sylvania, Ohio/Northview) scored off an assist from freshman Vince Frammartino (Sterling, Va./Potomac Falls) with 11:14 to play.

King’s would reclaim the momentum by scoring four unanswered goals prior to halftime to construct the 10-1 lead. The Monarchs finished the scoring with a goal early in the third quarter and the teams played a scoreless final stanza. The home team would post a 38-14 advantage in shots and won 15-of-16 faceoffs.

The Bison will be back on the road Tuesday with a game at Ohio Valley. Bethany’s lone victory last season came by a 13-6 count against OVU. Tuesday’s opening faceoff will be at 7 p.m.
