Arkangelo James Named ECAC South Offensive Player of the Year

Dec. 11 – CENTREVILLE, Mass. – After earning Presidents Athletic Conference Player of the Year as well as National Soccer Coaches Association of America First Team All-Great Lakes region honors, Bethany College senior Arkangelo James has added another award to his sparkling resume. The Eastern College Athletic Conference announced Thursday that James has been awarded as the Corvias ECAC Division III South Region Offensive Player of the Year.

James finished the 2013 season with a career-high 44 points (18 goals, eight assists) and led the PAC in all three offensive categories. He also finished his career tied for second in school history with 66 career goals and third with 156 points.

Over the course of the 2013 campaign, James scored at least two goals on five separate occasions, including posting two hat tricks. James also registered at least three points in seven different contests. He notched a season-high eight points (three goals/two assists) on Sept. 7 against Keystone College.

A physical education major, Arkangelo is the son of Parina & Massimo James of Pittsburgh, Pa.
