Oct. 22- CENTREVILLE, Mass.- Bethany College senior forward Arkangelo James (Pittsburgh, Pa./Baldwin) has been named the Corvias Eastern College Athletic Conference South Co-Offensive Player of the Week announced the conference office on Tuesday.
James scored four goals and led the Bison to a 2-0 record last week, with victories over Waynesburg (2-1) and at Penn State-Beaver (6-0).
In the victory over Waynesburg, James netted the game-winner for Bethany. This was the fifth game-winning goal that James has scored this season.
On Saturday at Penn State-Beaver, James notched his second hat-trick of the season and the fifth of his career. With the three goals scored and the six points recorded on Saturday, James surpassed Sandy Mick for third place all-time in Bethany history for career goals (64) and moved into third place with 149 career points.
Last year’s Presidents’ Athletic Conference Player of the Year, James is tied for fifth in the country with 16 goals and is eighth with 37 points.
In its next game, Bethany travels to Latrobe, Pa on Sunday afternoon (Oct. 27) for a key PAC matchup with Saint Vincent. Kickoff is set for 1:00 p.m.
