Men’s Soccer Defeated By Geneva In Season Finale

Nov. 2- BEAVER FALLS, Pa.- The Bethany College men’s soccer team lost, 4-0, to Geneva in its Presidents’ Athletic Conference season-finale on Saturday afternoon at Reeves Field.

Junior Will Bambury (New York, N.Y./Stuyvesant) got his first-career start in net and recorded five saves.

Bethany had a tough time generating much offense, as it was held to only six shots.

Seniors Arkangelo James (Pittsburgh, Pa./Baldwin) and Lamine Balde (Guinea, West Africa/William L. Sayre) each had two shots to lead the Bison.

Geneva scored all four goals in the first half. Jeremy Troutman led all scorers with two goals on the evening.

This was the last time seniors Adam Gibboney (Aliquippa, Pa./Hopewell), Dustin Maiolo (Stevensville, Ontario/St. Michael) James and Balde would wear the Green and White jersey for Bethany.

James had a career-high 44 points during his senior season. He finished his career second all-time in school history with 66 goals and third with 156 points.
