Bison Men's Tennis Falls 9-0 To Grove City In Regular Season Finale

April 23 – GROVE CITY, Pa. – The Bethany College tennis team completed its regular season, dropping a 9-0 decision to the Wolverines of Grove City College on Wednesday.

The Wolverines jumped out to a 3-0 after sweeping doubles action. Jared Roque (Munster, Ind./Munster) and Kyle Booker (Forest Park, Ga./Forest Park) put up the best fight, but ultimately fell at No. 2 doubles, 8-4.

In singles play, the Bison faired no better, dropping all six singles matches in straight sets, en route to the 9-0 defeat. James Peterson (Colorado Springs, Colo./Cheyenne Mountain) went 6-2, 6-2 at No. 2 singles while Roque fell 6-2, 6-1 in No. 3 singles.

Bethany will finish the 2014 campaign when they head to Erie, Pa. to participate in the Presidents’ Athletic Conference Championships. The two-day event is scheduled to start on Friday, April 25 at 8:30 a.m. and will be played at the Pennbriar Athletic Club.
