Men's Tennis Drops Season Opener To Frostburg State

March 10 – BETHANY, W. Va. – The Bethany College men’s tennis team dropped a 9-0 decision to Frostburg State University in their season-opening game on Monday.

The Bison played tough in doubles action, but found themselves down 3-0 after doubles play. Jared Roque (Munster, Ind./Munster) and Kyle Booker (Forest Park, Ga./Forest Park) had the best outing in doubles play, falling 9-7 at No. 2 doubles.

The Bobcats would extend their advantage in singles action, taking all six games, and the match, 9-0. James Peterson (Colorado Springs, Colo./Cheyenne Mountain) had the top performance for Bethany in singles action, dropping No. 2 singles 6-2, 6-3.

Bethany will be back in action on March 25 when they open Presidents’ Athletic Conference play against Waynesburg University. The contest is scheduled for a 3:30 p.m. start.
