The renovations to Bison Stadium also helped Bethany upgrade the Softball Diamond. The top soil that was removed from the old football surface was used to level the field. Other improvements included the installation of a new backstop and fencing to give Bethany, 13-time PAC champions and six-time NCAA Tournament participants (including a trip to the Division III World Series in '02) a first-class venue.
The Field House is connected to the Thomas Phillips Johnson Health & Recreation Center, which was built in 1994. Sandwen Arena inside the Center is a multi-purpose facility, which has an indoor track around three courts that can be used for basketball, tennis or volleyball. The Arena is also utilized as a practice venue for all outdoor sports during inclement weather.
The Johnson Recreation Center Weight Room houses multiple free weight stations as well as universal machines and cardio equipment, which can be used for training or rehabilitation. Several sports as well as the public benefit from the convenient weight room next to the indoor gym.
