Kyle Minger/Umar Moore Garner USTFCCCA All-Mideast Regional Honors

May 26 – NEW ORLEANS, La. – Putting a bow on stellar four-year careers, Bison track & field seniors Umar Moore (Coraopolis, Pa./Moon) and Kyle Minger (Richmond, Ohio/Edison Local), have been honored as All-Mideast Regional selections, as announced by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches’ Association.

May 18 – WESTFIELD, Mass. – Led by a school-record setting performance from the men’s 4x400-meter relay team, the Bethany College track & field teams competed at the Eastern College Athletic Conference Division III Outdoor Championships on Wednesday afternoon.

Bison Track Competes at 11th-Annual Gator Invite

May 13 – MEADVILLE, Pa. – Led by a record-setting performance from senior Umar Moore (Coraopolis, Pa./Moon), the Bethany College track & field teams competed at the 11th-annual Gator Invite hosted by Allegheny College on Friday.

Men 2nd/Women 6th at PAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships

April 30 – BETHANY, W. Va. – The Bethany College Track & Field team’s competed at a high level in the second day of the Presidents’ Athletic Conference Outdoor Championships on Saturday afternoon at Bison Stadium. The Bison men captured their best finish since 1994, placing second, while the women earned a sixth-place mark.

April 29 – BETHANY, W. Va. – The Bethany College track & field teams competed in the first day of the Presidents’ Athletic Conference Championships on Friday afternoon at Bison Stadium. Both the men and the women tallied ten points on day one.

Kyle Minger/Maria Jackson-McBride Named PAC Track Athletes of the Week

April 25 – GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Presidents’ Athletic Conference has recently announced that Bethany track & field senior standouts, Kyle Minger (Richmond, Ohio/Edison Local) and Maria Jackson-McBride (Spotsylvania, Va./West Potomac), have been selected as the PAC Track Athlete of the Weeks for their performances in the PAC South Quad last week.

Bethany Track Competes at Jesse Owens Invitational

April 23 – COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Bethany College track & field team sent a few select athletes to the Jesse Owens Invitational hosted by The Ohio State University on Saturday afternoon. The Bison competed in the 4x100 relay as well as the 200-meter dash.

Bison Track Hosts PAC South Quad

April 20 – BETHANY, W. Va. – The Bethany College track and field programs hosted the PAC South Quad Meet on Wednesday afternoon at Bison Stadium. Both the men’s and women’s team tallied a third-place finish out of six teams, with the men posting 111 points, and the women, 62.

Bethany Track & Field Has Strong Performance at Westminster Invite

April 16 – NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – The Bethany College track and field teams competed in the Westminster Invitational on Saturday. The men’s team finished fifth overall, led by the first place, and school record, finish from Kyle Minger (Richmond, Ohio/Edison Local), Andre Butler (Poolesville, Md./Poolesville), Khallid Young (Pittsburgh, Pa./Penn Hills), and Austin Davis (Honolulu, Hawaii/Moanlua) in the 4X400-meter relay.

Umar Moore/Andre Butler Sweep PAC Weekly Track Honors

April 4 – GREENVILLE, Pa. – Two days after capturing their first invitational victory of the season, the Bethany College men’s track team has swept the Presidents’ Athletic Conference weekly awards as senior Umar Moore (Coraopolis, Pa./Moon) and junior Andre Butler (Poolesville, Md./Poolesville) have recently been honored by the PAC. Moore was named the conference’s Field Athlete of the Week, while Butler earned his first Track Athlete of the Week award of the outdoor season.

Bison Men First/Women Third in Bethany College Invitational

April 2 – BETHANY, W. Va. – The Bethany College track & field teams hosted their annual Bethany College Invitational at Bison Stadium on Saturday afternoon. The Bison men’s team posted 166.33 points en route to their first invitational victory, while the women earned a third-place finish with 102 points.

March 24 – GREENVILLE, Pa. – Bethany College junior track & field standout Ryan Donnelly (Pittsburgh, Pa./Penn Hills) was recently selected by the Presidents’ Athletic Conference as the PAC Student-Athlete Advisory Committee’s Male Scholar Athlete of the Month for the month of February, announced the PAC on Thursday.

March 12 – MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – The Bethany College track & field teams competed on the final day of the Coach O Coastal Carolina Invitational on Saturday. Andre Butler (Poolesville, Md./Poolesville) led the way for the Green & White with strong performances in both the 200-meter dash and 400-meter dash.

March 11 – MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – The Bethany College track & field teams opened the outdoor portion of their 2015-16 season as they competed in the first day of the Coach O Coastal Carolina University Invitational on Friday. March 5 – ADA, Ohio – The Bethany College men’s indoor track & field team took a trio of athletes to the Polar Bear Final Qualifier hosted by Ohio Northern University on Saturday. In the meet, the group of Umar Moore (Coraopolis, Pa./Moon), Kyle Minger (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Hills) and Andre Butler (Poolesville, Md./Poolesville) combined for four top-five finishes.

Bison Men’s Indoor Track Crowned at 2016 PAC Indoor Championships

Feb. 25 – YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - The Bethany College men’s indoor track & field team earned their second-straight title as they placed first at the Presidents’ Athletic Conference Championships hosted by Youngstown State University on Thursday evening. The Bison had the top-three individual scorers in the meet as they totaled 119.5 points.

Bison Women’s Indoor Track & Field Finishes Sixth at PAC Championships

Feb. 25 – YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Bethany College women’s indoor track & field team competed at the Presidents’ Athletic Conference Championships hosted by Youngstown State on Thursday evening. The Bison placed sixth as they totaled 52 points in the meet.

Bison Track & Field Competes at Kenyon College Classic/Kent State Tune Up

Feb. 20 – BETHANY, W. Va. - The Bethany College indoor track & field teams competed at the Kenyon College Classic on Saturday afternoon. Sophomore Ashley Borsch broke a school record in the meet, while the men’s team also sent athletes to the Kent State Tune Up before the upcoming Presidents’ Athletic Conference Championships.

Feb. 8 – GREENVILLE, Pa. – Bethany track & field seniors Kyle Minger (Richmond, Ohio/Edison Local) and Umar Moore (Coraopolis, Pa./Moon) have been selected as the Presidents’ Athletic Conference Athletes of the Week. Minger was named Track Athlete of the Week for the second consecutive week, while Moore collected his third Field Athlete of the Week award this year.

Feb. 6 – ALLIANCE, Ohio – The Bethany indoor track & field teams competed at the Jim Wuske Invite at Mount Union College on Saturday afternoon. The Bison were highlighted by the relay team of Ashley Borsch, Heather Grinkley, Bri Steich, and Maria Jackson-McBride, as they set a new school record in the 4X200 meter relay (1:52.47).

Jan. 30 – GENEVA, Ohio – The Bethany College track & field teams participated in the Spire Midwest Open on Saturday. Jan. 29 – GENEVA, Ohio –The Bethany College indoor track & field teams competed at Baldwin Wallace on Friday evening. The 4X200-meter relay team of Umar Moore, Byron Mayers, Kyler Minger, and Andre Butler shattered the Bethany school mark, posting a final time of 1:30.97 in the meet.

Butler earned his first Track Athlete of the Week award, while Moore was named the Field Athlete of the Week for the second time.

Bison Track Opens Indoor Season at YSU Icebreaker

Dec. 4 - YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Bethany College indoor track season officially opened as four members of the indoor teams competed at the Youngstown State University Icebreaker Meet held at the Watson and Tressel Training Site in Youngstown. The four Bison kicked off the season right, as seniors Umar Moore, Kyle Minger and Maria Jackson-McBride, as well as junior Andre Butler, combined for four top-ten finishes.

December 3 – GREENVILLE, Pa. – Looking to defend their 2014-15 Presidents’ Athletic Conference Indoor Championship, the Bison men’s track team has been selected as the favorites in the 2015-16 Indoor Preseason Coaches’ Poll, announced the PAC on Thursday. The Bison women’s poll was also released, in which the Bethany women were selected third.

Whitney Martin Earns USTFCCCA All-Academic Honor

July 20 – NEW ORLEANS, La. – Bethany College women’s track and field freshman, Whitney Martin (Wintersville, Ohio/Indian Creek), has been honored with an All-Academic award by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association, recently announced the USTFCCCA.

Umar Moore Becomes Bethany's First Three-Time All-American: Finishes Seventh in National Long Jump Finals

May 21 – CANTON, N.Y. – For the first time in the history of the Bethany College track & field program, the Bison are able to boast a three-time All-American. Junior Umar Moore (Coraopolis, Pa./Moon) became the first in the annals of the program to accomplish the feat, capturing a seventh-place finish (23-07.50) in the long jump at the 2015 Division III Outdoor National Championships, hosted by St. Lawrence University.

May 17 – INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – For the fifth time in his last six semesters, Bethany College track and field junior, Umar Moore (Coraopolis, Pa./Moon), will get an opportunity to compete for a National Championship. The two-time All-American has qualified for the National Collegiate Athletic Association’s Division III Outdoor National Championships in the long jump, announced the NCAA on Sunday.

Martin/Moore Compete for Bison Track in First Day of ECAC Championships

May 14 – The Bison track and field team kicked off the two-day Eastern College Athletic Conference Championships competing in two separate events on day one. Junior Umar Moore (Coraopolis, Pa./Moon) competed in the triple jump, while Whitney Martin (Wintersville, Ohio/Indian Creek) competed in her first of three events, running the 100-meter dash prelims.

April 25 – BETHANY, W. Va. – The Bethany College Track & Field teams tallied six individual championships at the 2015 Presidents’ Athletic Conference Championships on Saturday in Grove City. The women posted a fourth-place mark with 78 total points, while the men captured 84.50 points to finish sixth.

April 18 – SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – Continuing their preparation for the Presidents’ Athletic Conference Championships which are only one week away, Bethany College juniors Umar Moore (Coraopolis, Pa./Moon) and Kyle Minger (Richmond, Ohio/Edison Local) traveled to Slippery Rock, Pa. to compete against stiff competitions at the Slippery Rock Invitational. The result; two combined victories, four new school records, and the second-best mark in the long jump in all of Division III this season.

Va. – Competing in their last team event until the Presidents’ Athletic Conference Outdoor Championships, the Bethany College track and field teams hosted the PAC South Quad Meet on Wednesday afternoon at Bison Stadium. Both the Bison men and women captured second-place finishes as the men totaled 168 points, with the women finishing with 165.

The Bethany College men’s and women’s indoor track and field teams competed in their first indoor meet of the season Saturday, which was at the unscored Mount Union/Jim Wuske Indoor Track & Field Open.

Bethany graduate Jodi Bodo (Steubenville, Ohio/Steubenville Catholic Central) has been voted to the ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District II Women’s Track & Field team for the third consecutive year, earning First Team accolades as announced Thursday by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

The Bethany College track and field teams enjoyed a stellar day at the 2010 PAC Championships Saturday at Grove City, as senior Taylor McNeil (Old Saybrook, Conn.) earned Men’s Track MVP and the Bison women finished third out of seven teams.

BETHANY COMPETE IN FINAL MEET BEFORE PAC’S

The Bethany College track and field teams competed in their final tune-up meet before next weekend’s PAC Championships by running at the unscored Baldwin-Wallace Sparky Adams Invitational Saturday.
