Feb. 5 - ALLIANCE, Ohio – The Bethany College men’s and women’s indoor track and field teams competed in their first indoor meet of the season Saturday, which was at the unscored Mount Union/Jim Wuske Indoor Track & Field Open.

The top result turned in by either team came on the men’s side. Freshman Arkangelo James (Pittsburgh, Pa./Baldwin) finished fourth out of 60 runners in the 800 with a time of 2:01.24.

In the field events, senior Ken Barrows (Wheeling, W.Va./Bishop Donahue) placed 10th overall and seventh among Division III competitors in the high jump by 5-8.75.

The top placement for the women came from senior Desiree Finley (Nanticoke, Pa./Hanover Area). In the 400, she took 14th place overall by crossing with a time of 1:02.86. Finley also competed in the pole vault and cleared 9-6.5.

The Bison teams will be back in action next Friday when they compete at the Capital Invitational.
