Feb. 20 - KENT, Ohio – Bethany senior Jodi Bodo (Steubenville, Ohio/Steubenville Catholic Central) highlighted the Bethany College men’s and women’s indoor track and field teams’ efforts at the Kent State Open Meet Saturday by qualifying for ECAC Championships in the 400.

Running in the fourth of 10 heats of the 400, Bodo took second place behind only Kent State’s Katoria Carter. Her time of 59.74 surpassed the ECAC qualifying standard of 60.00 and also placed Bodo 16th overall out of 50 runners. She was also second among Division III runners, trailing only Heidelberg’s Jamie Depinet (59.21).

Bodo also ran in the 200 and finished sixth among DIII runners and 28th
overall out of 68 runners with a time of 27.07 seconds.

The other strong effort recorded by a Bison runner came in the 5,000, where freshman Erin Reske (Fishers, Ind./Hamilton Southeastern) was the fourth place DIII runner and 19th overall by crossing in a time of 19:41.02.

This meet was the last before the ECAC Championships, which is scheduled for March 5-6 at Smith College in Northampton, Mass.
